Planet µ廠牌旗下Dubstep producer/DJ Starkey剛在本月發行了第二張專輯Ear Drums and Black Holes，而取自專輯內的最新單曲Stars找來了Anneka來獻唱，透過Anneka的聲音讓Dubstep這樣黑暗的音樂美麗了起來，其實Dubstep並不是只有兇猛而已。

Starkey occupies an intriguing middle ground. Having once plied his wears in notably bouncier territories he's discovered a distinctly svelter approach for his second album on Planet Mu and in doing so he's quickly garnering props as the most plausible mediating force between the scene's opposing armies.
Nice chap that he is, Starkey not only put us together a very special one-off mix for all your listening pleasure, he also gave us an exclusive download of the Slugabed remix of his new choon 'Stars'. [via NME]

Our latest FACT podcast comes from Philadelphia's king of Street Bass, Starkey.
More influenced by grime than its more popular cousin, dubstep, Starkey's made a name for himself with some of this decade's most dynamic, overblown dance music: bass-heavy club tracks that are rhythmically all over the place, constantly changing direction, with dramatic key changes and leadlines that sear higher than the stars before imploding like dying stars.
Starkey has one of the biggest sounds around - and not in a cheap, tearout dubstep sense - his tracks carry tons of physical and emotional weight; tracks like 'Miracles' and 'Crippling' some of the most beautiful tracks produced by this anything goes, post-garage music. Dance Area這個Electro duo組合在去年由英國DJ/製作人Erol Alkan的力推之下已深受各大DJ愛戴，之後簽入由Erol Alkan所成立的廠牌Phantasy Sound內，首先於08年底在Beatport上發行數位單曲AA 24/7， 並收錄了Noob、Skull Juice、Starkey等人的混音，而12"版本的AA 24/7則會在今年發表，另外稍早得到由Diplo所作AA 24/7的混音版本，屆時會同時於12"發表的時後放在Beatport內購買下載。
