相信喜歡YUCK和The Pains of Being Pure at Heart這樣類型的吉他/噪音流行樂隊，大概不會想要錯過The History Of Apple Pie這支倫敦五人編制的新團，繼他們發行於年中的上一張單曲You're So Cool後，新單曲Mallory好像是今天發行，比較有意思的是The Horrors的Tom Furse替他們這支新作弄了個混音版本可以透過下面來試聽（並提供WAV檔下載）。

Cat's Eyes是來自The Hoorors主唱Faris Badwan和Rachel Zeffira（加拿大女高音）的New Project，三月時將會先發行EP Broken Glass，之後再於四月發行首張同名專輯，在上方的Video是Cat's Eyes12月時錄製於梵蒂岡的Live由Faris Badwan演唱，而前往Cat's Eyes的官方網站可免費下載到另一首由Rachel Zeffira所演唱的單曲Not A Friend。

如果昨天沒去找大強拿留很久的Factory Floor和新到的Mount Kimbie專輯，那應該會錯過大強介紹我聽有新The Strokes稱號的這支倫敦新樂隊The Vaccines（但我覺得Vocal很Glasvegas），聽聽他們普於上月底發行的首張7" Wreckin' Bar (Ra Ra Ra)整首歌雖然只有短短的1分半，但真的有讓我找回2001年初次聽到The Strokes唱last Nite時的興奮。
說真的，有了The Vaccines之後根本就沒有理由要去期待The Strokes了阿。
下面的試聽Blow It Up的Rework版本是出自於The Horrors的Tom Furse（Synthesizer/Bass）所製作但並未發行。

對於Cocadisco這個來自Piers Martin和Rodaidh McDonald的兩人組合不是太了解，但是Cocadisco的其中一位成員Rodaidh McDonald日前在Vice獻上了一段20分鐘左右的Minimix，所挑選的曲目中頭尾的兩首單曲The xx - Basic Space (diskJokke remix)和Heartbreak - Akin To Dancing (The Horrors remix)卻是自己近期還蠻想收刮來的歌，只不過好像有點難度，所以目前只能透過這段Mix來先試聽。

The Horrors‘ Tom Furse American Mixtape

The Horrors的其兩成員Tom Furse和Rhys Webb稍早於今年三月的時候以Spider and the Flies這Side-Project名義提供了兩個Mixtape "UP"、"Down" 給Vice的網站，而在今天的Vice網站又見到Tom Furse（這次沒有Rhys Webb）在剛結束4、5月The Horrors和The Kills在美加地區的巡迴後所錄製的Mixtape給試聽下載，沒有提供曲目但有興趣者不彷聽聽。

Video是來自倫敦新晉後龐樂隊Project:KOMAKINO剛於日本先發行的首張專輯The Struggle For Utopia中的Nebula一曲（也曾收錄在樂隊08年於Parlour Records發行的首張同名EP），雖然幾乎都是集合了同名EP和在April77 Records發行的7"裡的舊曲目，不過還算有點誠意是經過重新錄製才收錄在專輯內，但這樣卻少了很多當初接觸他們時的黯黑氣息；除此之外這張日本先發專輯內還找來了The Horros的Tom Furse（Synthesizer/Bass）來製作Syndrome的混音版本，等到在英國發行時不知道還會不會收錄，但我還是希望到時英國版的曲目能夠精彩點。

聽完S.C.U.M的新Project SIGNAL準備在本月27號發行的單曲WARSAW後，跳出了想把The Horros新專輯Primary Colours丟到一邊的感覺出現，不過說說而已至少目前SIGNAL比較起S.C.U.M會讓人期待更多。
As S.C.U.M travel across Europe performing shows they create new music in new environments, a body of new works called SIGNALS.
Taking studio time in each city they visit, S.C.U.M are recording new works specific to each location.
These new tracks will be released as digital downloads, SIGNALS from around the globe.
Each SIGNAL will be available for a limited time period. Building into a body of work documenting their sonic journey. Each SIGNAL will act as an audio visual scrapbook of the bands travels and musical progression.
SIGNALS are rapid fire experimentation in sound and visual information, immediate access to the creative output of a band / bypassing all time consuming process / a fluid connection / a conversation / a discourse / allowing whiteness to the construction of ideas as they happen.

PLA S TIC Z O O MS這日本團一整個就感覺在拷貝The Horrors，是不是之前在日本有跟Dandi Wind一起表演過不太清楚，但樂隊的MySpace上是有放上和Dandi的合照，然後在今天才剛發行的單曲UNDER///BLACK內的B-Side是收錄了交由Dandi Wind混音的版本，奇怪那去年在台灣曾一起和Dandi Wind表演過的Go Chic和閃四你（妳）們的勒？，而且竟然還在幾個英國蠻知名如Rough Trade、Pure Groove的Record Shop販售。

Neils Children也算跟The Horrors同期或早一些些，但The Horrors竟然就又要發行樂隊的第二張專輯Primary Colours，而首波單曲Sea Within A Sea也可去下載了，或是來看看這Video or Live？，從這支單曲聽來好像不再那麼黑暗了，然後比較期待The Horrors更勝同在07年時差不多時間發行的Klaxons。

其實自己認為下面放的音樂才應該是現在所謂的Indie Dance；Spider and The Flies這個頭戴著蚱蜢還是什麼昆蟲面罩的Duo就是來自英國Gothic/Post-Punk樂隊The Horrors的Tomethy Furse（Bass）、Spider Webb（Keyboards）這兩位成員的Side-Project，兩人在音樂上大量使用Analogue Synthesizers來製作，在聽的時後能發覺到有Add N to (X)的激進，因為Barry 7【Add N to (X)】也是製作人之ㄧ，當然The Horrors式的詭譎氣氛也不會少；而Spider and The Flies這張Mini專輯Something A Clockwork This Way Comes已經在二月初發行，有CD和Limited Edition 12" Vinyl兩種型式，另外The Horrors的第二張專輯也將是自己相當期待的回歸作之一，只是不曉得今年有沒機會等到。

The Dark Bands

隨著電影Batman - The Dark Knight（黑暗騎士）即將上映，這裡也要來感染一下英倫近期的一波闇黑氣息。
首先是近期在法國Skinny Jeans品牌April 77所新成立的音樂廠牌April 77 Records下發行7"單曲Reflective/Surface的Neils Children，April 77 Records也順便製作了Neils Children的樂團T-Shirt，在日本紅很久的他們單曲也累積了不少，終於可以在今年等到他們的專輯。

一樣會在April 77 Records發行，剛剛的Neils Children是在6月發行，而安排在10月發行的Project:Komakino則是自己相當期待的一組Post Punk樂隊，從相片中就可以看出他們想當Joy Division的接班人？，其實Project:Komakino將在April 77 Records發行的7" Penumbra 1是他們的第二張單曲，首張單曲則會以12"在8月份由Parlour Records這新廠牌下發行。

剛在Too Pure發行了第二張單曲We Thought It Was But It Wasn't，在MySpace上聲稱單曲只剩下15張庫存的Electricity In Our Homes，雖然MySpace上綠油油的一片，單曲封面還是隻鵝或鴨？，但Electricity In Our Homes也算是這闇黑部隊裡的成員。

在這一波闇黑氣息中比較帶電的Micron63絕對是可以拿到Dancefloor去給它轉一轉。

目前跟Micron63同屬於DiscError Recordings的Ipso Facto，這四位團員剛出現時都留著Bob頭穿著打扮一身黑，連宣傳照也以黑白照呈現的闇黑歌德女子組，以造型來說女生版The Horrors就是Ipso Facto了。

KASMs這兩女兩男的組合也是一身黑，在MySpace裡看了KASMs的一些Live照片發現女主唱也是喜歡躺在地上唱，這也難怪所屬的Trouble Records也是Crystal Castles專輯的發行廠牌。

Hatcham Social的新歌Superman，雖然不知道歌曲跟Superman有沒關係但以字面來說Superman是屬於陽光正面的，但Hatcham Social這團卻是讓人感覺調性偏黑的樂隊。

最後當然要來The Horrors一下，最近在The Charlatans的單曲The Misbegotten裡收錄了由The Horrors的混音版本。
