San Francisco's Christian Martin is best known for his rampant DJ sets and his releases, solo and as part of the Martin Brothers, on Dirtybird, the label he operates with Claude Von Stroke. Over the years Martin has refined a bassy, funked-up techno-cum-gutter-house sound; his recent nterest in the effervescent UK funky and dubstep scene led to him headlining a recent Night Slugs party alongside Cooly G. His FACT Mix draws all kinds of unlikely but sonically successful links between minimal (Und, Italoboyz), 2-step (Floatingpoints, MJ Cole), electro (Radioactiveman, Roman Flugel), dubstep (Benga, Untold) and, er, Yo Gabba Gabba. 大約兩星期前在Youtube上曝光一段Erol Alkan和Boys Noize合作的一首新單曲Waves後就已引起了很大的回響，隨後又有The Chemical Brothers的加持在Live裡使用上Death Suite（後續會不會就來做此單曲的混音版本？），在大家都快等不及的時候他倆又分別各自在所屬的MySpace裡放上了合作單曲Wave/Death Suite的1分多鐘Preview試聽，然後在上星期五的Annie Mac's Mash Up節目裡算是比較正式的聽到較為完整的版本，現在絕對是本週的最佳單曲Wave/Death Suite已完整現身。

The xx早首專輯xx一個星期發行的單曲Basic Space也確定了會發行7"與12"的兩種Format，在7"部份的B-side曲收錄了一首舊歌Blood Red Moon的Demo版本，而在12"裡收錄的則是6首混音版本分別交由Micachu & The Shapes、diskJokke、Astronomer、Sampha、Pariah和Jamie xx of The xx等的混音曲（這是在Boomkat上看到的曲目），但是在Rough Trade的網站上看到有Mount Kimbie的混音就讓我就迷糊了不知誰正確，不過我想最特別的是在Rough Trade上會賣另一限量100張白廠牌應該只收錄Basic Space - Jamie xx Remix這首的12"（但我看不懂得是這句“at 33 it's an atmospheric cold blast of slo mo beat trickery. put it on 45 and it turns into a 6am dancefloor burner.“）是說它可以用33和45兩種轉速來播放？總之此單曲已拍攝好Video可看了。

對於Cocadisco這個來自Piers Martin和Rodaidh McDonald的兩人組合不是太了解，但是Cocadisco的其中一位成員Rodaidh McDonald日前在Vice獻上了一段20分鐘左右的Minimix，所挑選的曲目中頭尾的兩首單曲The xx - Basic Space (diskJokke remix)和Heartbreak - Akin To Dancing (The Horrors remix)卻是自己近期還蠻想收刮來的歌，只不過好像有點難度，所以目前只能透過這段Mix來先試聽。

在Guns N' Bombs於日前解散之後，曾被B2TF邀請來台打碟的其一團員Johnny Love，也開始了他的新音樂Project並找來了和Johnny同鄉芝加哥的Entro Mc一起取名為Deathface，並可在他以Deathface的名字新申請的MySpace上聽到幾首新作，在音樂風格上曾體驗過Johnny Love的DJ Set的人都會曉得他的Bassline是相當的猛烈的但新東西也如其名一樣來的晦暗，而在這新名字Deathface裡甚至也融入了最夯的曲風Dubstep，所以我想他才會找來Entro Mc來唱；然後下面的Mixtape是Deathface的處女作，只不過曲目幾乎全都是Deahtface的歌。
